BL-QT-AO-08 is a partial pressure electrochemical oxygen sensor (also called oxygen partial pressure sensor). This type of sensor is usually used to measure the partial pressure of oxygen in a gas mixture, rather than directly measuring the oxygen concentration. Its working principle is the same as Similar to ordinary electrochemical oxygen sensors, partial-pressure electrochemical oxygen sensors include a working electrode, usually composed of a noble metal (such as platinum) or other catalyst-covered material.
The outside of the O2 sensor is usually in contact with the external gas through a semipermeable membrane or a gas permeable membrane. These membranes allow oxygen to penetrate but restrict the passage of other gases. When oxygen comes into contact with the working electrode through the semipermeable membrane, it will occur on the working electrode. Oxygen reduction reaction, resulting in the transfer of electrons. This results in a current on the working electrode, the magnitude of which is proportional to the partial pressure of oxygen. By measuring this current, the sensor can determine the partial pressure of oxygen in the gas mixture.
